Partially restored 1964 Volvo 122S with rebuilt B20 engine (with transmission and overdrive). Sound mechanically. Needs cosmetic work. Some rust but just superficial. It has always started if the temperature is above 40 F or so.
The car spent the majority of its life in Texas.
Purchased in 2004 and stored inside since. Driven lightly during some summers. Engine was rebuilt in 1992 and runs very smoothly. Carburetors were rebuilt in 2007. Rebuild and restoration records. Original owner's manual. The car was driven from Rockford, IL to Sturgeon Bay, WI in June 2021, with a 17 foot, 500 pound sailboat in tow, and made the trip easily. The car has good acceleration. The brakes are functional but leak some fluid and should be worked on before using as a daily driver. If you like attention, this is the car for you- people stop and stare, wave, give thumbs up, you name it. I've thought it would make a good medium for advertising a business, it gets so much attention. When I bought the car, I had someone call me from Sweden who wanted to purchase the chrome bar on the top of the front bumper, which apparently is hard to find, but we couldn't come to a deal since the shipping was so high.
